Ever feel lost or confused when you enter a new place? Don’t want other people to feel the same way? Join the Usher team to help welcome new people to our services.

Hearing the Word of God read aloud by the people of God is a main part of our worship services. We’d love to hear your voice reading scripture.

Do you enjoy serving “behind the scenes”? Do you have an eye for the aesthetics of worship? The altar guild prepares the table for Holy Communion Sundays and assists with the setup of our worship space.

Are you a musician, do you love to sing, or are you passionate about worship? We seek to incorporate excellent music of all genres into worship that engages both the heart and the mind. Worship is an integral part of what God has called us to be as His church as we seek to be a people caught up more and more in the beauty of God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Volunteers can join the worship band, community choir, or participate in special music during services.

Life anywhere, but perhaps especially here in New York, can be tough. And at Emmanuel we believe no one should walk alone, no matter where you are in life, what you've been through, or what's ahead. Prayer teams meet with people for prayer during each Sunday service. During the week others assist leading Morning and Evening Prayer.

Do you love storytelling? Are you gifted and curious about Audio and Video Production? Our technical volunteers serve on a rotating basis to run live sound and video, record sermons, film interviews, and more.

Each Sunday we gather in the fellowship hall for coffee, to catch up with each other, and meet new people. Coffee hour volunteers keep an eye out for all the small things that make our space hospitable.
